Morning Prayer for February 2nd – Lourdes Novena: Day 1 With Fr Terry Murray OMI
Welcome to morning prayer today, with Fr Terry Murray OMI, from Sacred Heart parish, in Kilburn, London. Today is also the first day of the Lourdes novena.
Today’s Gospel reading is from Luke, and tells of the time when Mary and Joseph took Jesus to the temple to be consecrated to God – the day is known as the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord.
In today’s reading, Mary held Jesus and looked at him lovingly, and kissed him tenderly. As we begin our novena, let us ask Mary to be our companion on our journey through these days. Let us ask her for her intercession – for ourselves and those we love.
Thank you for joining us in prayer today.
