Morning Prayer, Saturday August 15, Feast of the Assumption with Fr Irvin Morastil OMI
This morning, join Fr Irvin Morastil OMI from the Oblate parish of St Mary, Star of the Sea in Leith, Edinburgh, Scotland. On this, the Feast of the Assumption, Fr Irvin recalls the pronouncement by Pope Pius XII on November 1, 1950,of the dogma of the Assumption of Mary into heaven, during which he wrote: “The Immaculate Mother of God, the ever-Virgin Mary, having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul into heavenly glory.” Fr Irvin reflects on the message for today and finishes by inviting us to: “proclaim the wonders the Lord has done for us.“
