The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Friday 12th January 2024 With Frankie MacDonald
Good morning, dear friends. You are very welcome to our Oblate Family Morning Prayer. We join Frankie in Scotland for this morning’s time of prayer. Frankie volunteers in Lourdes with the Oblate Pilgrimage.
In Mark’s gospel, the man that Jesus cures reminds us of how persistence, effort and belief is noted by Jesus. It heartens that Jesus actually looked after the man’s spiritual needs first, as well as his physical needs. Not only that, but he challenges the skeptics and the hypocrites to look beyond the end of their noses, to see the good which is right in front of them.
This new year, we pray that we too see the good in front of us – in our family, and friends, and neighbours, and anyone that we meet, and be encouraged to hold firm in our faith and persevere in every challenge that we face.
Thank you for joining us today.
