The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Palm Sunday 24th March 2024 With Trudy in Leith
Good morning. We invite you to join our Oblate Family Morning Prayer during this time of Holy Week. We join Trudy Shaw from the Oblate Parish of St Mary’s Star of the Sea, Leith, who brings us our morning prayer on Palm Sunday, 24th of March. We are delighted that St Mary’s will be bringing us morning prayer during Holy Week and Easter Weekend this year.

Blessings on him who comes in the name of the Lord.
Trudy reflects: “A thought about when reflecting on this gospel was that Our Lord arrived in the world on a donkey and this is his last journey on a donkey into Jerusalem before the crucifixion. Now, the disciples didn’t know that this was going to happen. Obviously they’re just living everyday life like we are just now, and they had no idea of what was ahead of them this week. They had no clue of the trauma that was about to happen. And there was this sense of joyousness and the singing “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord”. And this feeling of joy is present on this day and I, in terms of preparing for the week ahead, like to enjoy Palm Sunday.”
Thank you for joining us today.
