The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Saturday 13th January 2024 With Roberto Forti
Good morning, dear friends. You are very welcome to our Oblate Family Morning Prayer. We join Roberto Forti in Crewe for this morning’s time of prayer on the feast day of St Kentigern (Mungo).
Today’s Gospel from Mark serves as a reminder that God’s church is open to everyone. Like the Pharisees, we also fall complacent into thinking that we have to be regular churchgoers for Jesus to reach out to us or that we have to be saint-like to receive help from God. But Jesus today demonstrates to us that we are already fortunate enough to know God’s love and the joy that can bring. It is with this knowledge that the task today falls to us to help those who may not know the true meaning of God’s love in their lives.
Thank you for joining us today.
