The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Saturday 9th March 2024 With Jason O’Reilly
Good morning. We invite you to join our Oblate Family Morning Prayer during this time of Lent. We join Jason O’Reilly of Kairos Community Trust, who brings us our morning prayer from London, on Saturday 9th of March.
Gospel Luke 18:9-14 ©
‘The tax collector, not the Pharisee, went home justified.’
Jason reflects: “This is a lesson in pride. Do we elevate our own self righteousness to beat down others? Or as the tax collector who beat his own chest in the firm understanding of his own sinfulness, for he would not look up to heaven, just as just as the Pharisee continued to, in his own mind, rise above God – a God He did not know.”
Thank you for joining us today.
